Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!
My name is Harmonie Kobanghe and this summer, I will travel the world to conduct a rigorous (and fun) qualitative research. On this blog, I will share my experiences investigating the impacts of gender and land rights on food security in Peru, Brazil, Italy, Tanzania, India and Nepal. I would like to sincerely thank the Circumnavigators Club Foundation and Georgetown University School of Foreign Service for this travel-grant.

Through my research, I will seek to determine how the disconnect between policy commitments and practical implementations or the lack of policies protecting land rights for rural women affect agricultural productivity, and ultimately food security. I will interview government officials in the Agriculture, Women’s Affairs and Social Development sectors, development professionals, academicians, local civil society organizations as well as men and women from individual households.

On this blog, I will keep you updated on my whereabouts by sharing photos, videos, research findings and amazing travel experiences.

Thank you for visiting!

Harmonie
